Financial Education
We believe consumers and clients should be self educated about finance. We urge consumers to avoid reading glib, superficial general interest publications and instead read the rather dry scholarly publications. That way you will escape the gravitational tug of Wall Street's propaganda and instead learn how to access low cost investments.
In order to provide the best service to our clients we spend about 80-100 hours a month reading about finance. Many of these require expensive subscriptions. Here is a list of what we read:
Financial Times
Wall Street Journal
Barron's
New York Times
Washington Post
Bill Gross on Pimco website
Wealth Manager Magazine
Journal of Retirement Planning
Journal of Accountancy
DeutschBank research
Briefing.com
Journal of Financial Planning
CFA Digest
Hoisington Management
GMO.com
BenefitsLink.com
Morningstar Principia
Economist Magazine
CFO Magazine
Investment Advisor
Financial Advisor
Financial Planning
We also read numerous financial books.
